Don't
you remember going shopping with your family, or even going to
the mall with friends? Shopping was always a social event when
we were growing up, unfortunately the Internet has taken the
social aspect out of the experience. DebateOurFuture has returned shopping
to its social roots and have taken the concept to the Internet.
DebateOurFuture has integrated a shopping search engine with drag
and drop features along with a chat box so you can shop with
friends. Sign up for our shopping newsletter (of course opt in
or opt out) and get special promotions every week, your choice
of using your email address or the DebateOurFuture newsletter
reader. You can have a shopping tab right on your profile (or
not, your choice) which will have your product reviews, product
ratings, comments, wish lists and price alerts.
So, here's how it works...
Turning Shopping On
From you your profile panel, under control panel/edit/update
your profile. Select the My Shopping tab and put a check in the
active button. Voila, you now have a new shopping tab on your
profile page. Just repeat the process if you ever what to turn
if t off. This is where you wish list, price alerts etc will go.
To shop or not to shop, that question is up to you. You can
also turn shopping off any time you wish.
Opening The Shopping Panel
Once you have joined a group, you will have a chat box on
the right of your profile panel. It the bottom is a link
call "Float window" Click on it and the chat utility will
open. The shopping and chat utility will open in a pop up
window.
OR
From the My Shopping tab, click on open shopping window. The
shopping and chat utility will open a new browser tab.
About The Chat Box
Now... only
members of your group or the groups you are in can chat with
you. This is for for safety, its not a free-for-all. You can
even start you own group and have your own group chat box with
only the people you want.

Shopping is attached to the chat box
Why you may ask, because this is how you can share your
shopping trip with others. At the top are several buttons. The
first button (half blue, half gray) lets you move the chat box
from the right or the left, your preference. The next button
removes shopping from the chat box so you can just chat without
the shopping window. You can turn it on or off at anytime. The
next button has chat box code for the more computer savvy user.
